During the workshop ‘Mapping your microbial surrounding’ participants will map and visualize organisms living in their own environment.
In groups of two, samples will be made from the bacterial population at various locations in our daily environment, for example from bacteria on our clothing.
The collected samples are immediately packaged sterile and can subsequently be soaked in natural epoxy resin.
The workshop will spread over two days: Wednesday 20 March & Wednesday 3 April 2019.
On day 1 the participants will learn how they can cultivate micro-organisms. Two weeks later, when the samples have grown, they are analysed and preserved in a way that suits the location.
- English spoken.
- Free of charge.
- If you sign up for this workshop you need to attend the workshop on both days: Wednesday 20 March & 3 April.
